Esther’s Essentials was created from a place of personal experience and a deep love for wellness. As a former Personal Trainer, Deborah was dedicated to helping others improve their well-being through movement and lifestyle. Over time, she began experiencing joint discomfort herself, which changed the way she approached her own health and wellness journey.
A pivotal moment came during a visit to her sister in Edmonton, where Deborah was inspired to explore natural, herb-based formulations after seeing the high cost and limited benefit of a salve her sister had been using. With a background in health and a passion for learning, Deborah returned home motivated to create something thoughtful, effective, and rooted in nature.
What began as an exploration into skincare soon expanded. Using a blend of traditional herbal knowledge and hands-on experimentation, Deborah developed a product she lovingly calls the ICY Stick—a topical made with carefully selected botanicals and natural ingredients. Packaged in a convenient stick format, it quickly became a favourite among friends and family.
Word of mouth began to spread, and soon others were asking for products of their own. From there, Esther’s Essentials grew to include a variety of handcrafted offerings, such as the SPICY Stick, the FOOT Stick, and more—each one designed with intention and made in small batches to ensure quality.
Deborah now grows many of her herbs herself on a small rooftop garden, including calendula, lemon balm, peppermint, lavender, and basil. What she cannot grow, she thoughtfully sources from Canadian suppliers who share her values of sustainability and purity.
Each product from Esther’s Essentials is crafted with care and made to support your everyday wellness routine. While Deborah does not make any medical claims, she stands behind the quality and integrity of every item she creates and is always happy to answer any questions.

What makes Esther’s Essentials so good?
We use top quality, natural herbs, botanicals, oils & butters. Every single ingredient in each product is picked for a specific reason. We infuse our oils with herbs to extract their known benefits, whether it be herbs that may decrease inflammation, break down uric acid, create a warming sensation, or a cooling sensation or any other number of reasons. On top of that, some herbs, when partnered with certain other herbs become ‘super-powered’ because of their synergy together.
Our oils are selected based on their properties and benefits. Some absorb faster and help carry the herb properties extracted to where the body needs it. Some oils are slower to absorb and leave a protective moisturizing barrier on the skin.
We are truly passionate about making quality products, with quality ingredients. Our priority, is your health and wellbeing, and as our valued customer we endeavour to provide you with products you can count on to meet your needs.

Please Note: Unless otherwise stated, all products at Esther’s Essentials are free from artificial colourants. Any colour present in the final product is naturally derived from the infusion of whole herbs, the unique hues of plant-based oils, and the natural combination of ingredients. Variations in colour are a normal part of working with raw, botanical materials and reflect the integrity of our handcrafted formulations.

I started Esther’s Essentials after struggling to find products that felt safe, simple, and effective. Everything felt overwhelming — ingredient lists I couldn’t understand, products that irritated my skin, and shelves filled with clutter.
So I went back to basics. I created my first balm in my kitchen using just four ingredients. It worked — and it felt right. That’s when I knew: beauty should be simple.
